As part of our creative workshop series, we hosted a special two-day leather crafting workshop in collaboration with *Diamond Awl*, renowned for their expertise in traditional leatherwork. This immersive experience guided participants through the complete process of making a handcrafted saddle bag from scratch, using high-quality Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
Over the course of the workshop, participants learned essential leatherworking techniques, including cutting patterns, hand-stitching using the classic saddle stitch method, edge finishing, and assembling their bags with precision and care. Diamond Awl also introduced participants to the art of adding elegant gold details, giving each bag a refined and personal touch.
This hands-on session provided a rare opportunity to work with premium materials while learning time-honoured craftsmanship skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. Each participant left with a beautifully finished, functional leather saddle bag and a deeper appreciation for the artistry of leather craft.
